Privacy policy

Dhondt.Works respects your privacy and processes your personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

What data do we collect?

Through the contact form we collect your name, email address and the message you send us. Optionally, you may share information about your project, budget or preferred timeline. When you contact us from a specific piece page, the name of that piece is submitted along with your message.

What do we use your data for?

Solely to respond to your inquiry and, where relevant, to provide a follow-up conversation or quotation. We do not use your data for newsletters, marketing or resale to third parties.

Where is your data stored?

This website is hosted by Cloudflare. Contact messages are sent through Resend and delivered to our email inbox. To block spam, the contact form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which processes technical browser signals without setting any cookies. For aggregated visitor statistics we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is also cookie-less and processes no personal data. Cloudflare, Resend, Turnstile and Cloudflare Web Analytics act as data processors under the GDPR.

How long do we keep your data?

For as long as needed to follow up on your inquiry and to handle any resulting orders administratively. Messages without further follow-up are deleted within a reasonable period.

Your rights under the GDPR

You have the right to access, correct and delete your personal data, as well as the right to object to processing. Send an email to info@dhondt.works to exercise these rights. If you believe your data is not being processed correctly, you may also file a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit.be).

Cookies

This website does not set any tracking or marketing cookies.

Terms of sale

These terms apply to all quotations, orders and deliveries by Dhondt.Works (DHONDT.Tech), unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Scope

Dhondt.Works makes custom furniture. Each piece is built to order following a prior consultation and written quotation. This website does not offer online sales.

Quotation and order

Quotations are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated. An order becomes final once the customer confirms the quotation in writing and has paid the deposit.

Payment

A deposit of 30% of the total price is requested on order. The balance is payable on delivery or collection. Payments are made by bank transfer within the term stated on the invoice.

Delivery

The delivery time is estimated in the quotation and depends, among other things, on wood availability and drying times. Delays beyond our control do not give rise to damages or cancellation unless the delay becomes unreasonable.

Right of withdrawal

Because each piece is made specifically for the customer, the statutory fourteen-day right of withdrawal does not apply. This is an exception for goods made to the consumer’s specifications (art. VI.53, 3° of the Belgian Code of Economic Law).

Warranty

Consumers benefit from the statutory two-year warranty on hidden defects. Normal wear, properties inherent to solid wood (such as minor movement, colour change or small cracks) and damage caused by misuse or inadequate care are not covered.

Complaints

Visible defects must be reported on delivery. Hidden defects must be reported within a reasonable period after discovery, by email to info@dhondt.works.

Liability

Our liability is limited to the value of the piece concerned. We are not liable for consequential damages or damage to third parties.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Belgian law. Any disputes will be settled by the courts of the judicial district where our registered office is located.
